Deciding to do something a little bit different, considering how colouring books have been gaining popularity among adults over the past few years I thought I would try one out myself.
Colouring books have been used by many adults – before people noticed the trend and decided that maybe they should be marketing towards adults instead of simply kids – for many reasons. The main is the unwind, to relax and help you fall asleep at night.
Colouring in takes you back to a time in your life when you didn’t have to worry much about anything. You could draw and do whatever you wanted.
So these books are marketed for people for need and want to unwind, yet they don’t want to read a book, they want to do something. Many people find this when they knit, or sewing so the same can be said with colouring books. It’s also calming, if you have had a stressful day, find a colouring book and just… colour in.
It’s literally that simple.
It also needs to be said that not all colouring books will work for everyone. So if you can, go to a store and look through each book, particularly if there is one you have your eye on and you have it saved on Amazon. Go and look through it in the shop to make sure the pictures in there are one’s you are comfortable in colouring in.
Have fun with it and show off your creations on social media, because it is relaxing and rather enjoyable too.
