Book Review: The Mammoth Book of Steampunk

If you love steampunk, or if you are wanting to try and read some steampunk, but don’t want to invest yourself into a series, this is a book you need to read.

I bought this book a while ago, wanting to get into Steampunk, but wasn’t sure what to read.  Looking up books online I found a lot didn’t seem to suit my tastes, so when I found this, I knew it had to be a winner.

It was, the stories in this book are beautifully told, every story engaging and exciting, some more than other’s, but each author’s writing is unique, each story is completely different from the last, so it made for good reading and also inspired me to check out the authors of the stories that I enjoyed.

The selection of stories are vast, it doesn’t all just centre around Victorian London and every story has it’s own unique flavour, something that makes it stand out in your mind.

4 out of 5 stars, there is some hit and miss stories in here, but over all it is well worth a read.
